of antitrust issues”. Carmen combines competition with M&A practice area and she
has also gained substantial expertise in areas such as general corporate,
privatisations, public procurement, financing and general commercial law.

Carmen has advised in a wide array of antitrust and state aid matters, for clients
such as Accor Services, Gaz de France and its local subsidiary Distrigaz, Lafarge,
Ranbaxy, Subaru Motors Trading, Tenaris, Unilever, Vodafone, whether during
antitrust or state aid investigation proceedings or as legal advice in connection to
their various businesses.

Carmen has advised in some of the largest M&A transactions on the Romanian
market, such as the privatization of Petrom through its acquisition by OMV, the USD
324 million acquisition of Terapia S.A. by Ranbaxy Laboratories or the EUR 328
million acquisition of oil service business by Petrom.
