KEY TRANSACTIONS 2008-2011
- Advising Vinci/Aktor, the winning consortium, in relation to the construction and operation of Comarnic-Brasov motorway with a value in excess of EUR 1.7 billion. This is the largest deal of its kind in Romania during the last few years;
- Advising Globe Trade Centre, the largest real estate developer in Romania, in relation to complex contractual arrangements regarding rights arising in the context of a concession–based structure. This is the largest concession–based real estate project in Romania;
- Advising one of the investors in the project for the development of units 3 & 4 of the Cernavoda nuclear power plant. This is one of the largest projects in Romania with an estimated value exceeding EUR 4 billion;
- Advising a major European construction company in relation to the public procurement procedure carried out for the award of a contract for construction works to water distribution and sewage networks in Medias, Sibiu County;
- Advising the joint lead managers Royal Bank of Canada Dominion Securities and Cormark Securities in relation to Romanian law issues on their CAD 117 million public offer and private placement of shares in Gabriel Resources (listed on the Toronto Stock Exchange), the owner and developer of one of the largest gold deposits in the world;
- Advising the Romanian subsidiary of the waste management division of a leading worldwide environmental services company in connection to rights deriving from the concession of the waste management system in a large Romanian city;
- Advising a leading European provider of energy services in connection with the engineering, procurement and construction contract for the relocation of two co-generation plants. Advising a major local developer in relation to the concession based contract awarding procedure by a local authority of public works and services for the development, modernization and operation of public markets and
- Advising Continental Wind Partners in relation to the development of several of the largest wind farms in Romania.
